Do you have empathy for older people and would you like to get involved socially? Would you like to support our team in accompanying and caring for our residents and help organize their daily routines? Would you like to try out whether working in a social area would be fun or bridge the waiting period until you start studying?
We would be delighted if you would support our team as part of a voluntary social year.
Your Tasks
As part of an FSJ activity, you can participate in a wide variety of ways in our houses. For example
- Support and assistance with personal hygiene and dressing/undressing.
- Accompanying our residents to the doctor and on walks
- Support with therapeutic measures
- Supporting and helping to organize events and celebrations in our facilities
- Handicrafts, reading aloud, making music
- etc.
Start/duration/vacation:
- You can start your FSJ every year between August 1 and September 1
- The FSJ usually lasts 12 months - The minimum duration is 6 months, the maximum 18 months
- You work a maximum of 39 hours/week and have 26 working days' vacation (for a total duration of 12 months)
Payment/Other:
- You will receive € 165 per month and a food allowance of € 224 per month
- The Paritätischer Dienst will set up the social security contributions for you
- You will receive an FSJ ID card and a reference or certificate of employment from us
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- You are not older than 27 years
- You have completed the full compulsory schooling period
- You enjoy and are interested in working with older people
