The Federal Voluntary Service (BFD) is comparable to the Voluntary Social Year (FSJ), but offers people of all ages the opportunity to get involved in social work.
If you also need a break from everyday life, are interested in social work and enjoy helping other people, then the Federal Voluntary Service (BFD) could be the right thing for you.
Your Tasks
As part of the BFD, you can get involved in our facilities in a variety of ways, for example
- Support and assistance with personal hygiene and dressing/undressing.
- Accompanying our residents to the doctor and on walks
- Support with therapeutic measures
- Supporting and helping to organize events and celebrations in our facilities
- Handicrafts, reading aloud, making music
- etc.
Start/duration/vacation:
- The start of the BFD is flexible, i.e. you can choose your start date
- The FSJ usually lasts 12 months - The minimum duration is 6 months, the maximum 18 months
- You work max. 39 hours/week, part-time work is also possible from the age of 27
Payment/Other:
- If you are still entitled to child benefit, you will receive up to €250 per month. For older volunteers who are not entitled to child benefit, i.e. volunteers who have reached the age of 25, the reimbursement is up to €348 per month.
- Social security contributions are paid by AllgäuPflege
- You will receive a reference or certificate of employment from us
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- You have completed the full compulsory schooling period
- You enjoy and are interested in working with older people
